Scoring from first

How's this for symmetry: the A's complete a four-game series with the Angels tonight and they've scored 14, 0, 1, 15 (through 7 innings tonight) runs, respectively.
The team is unconventional in that they trail only Detroit in the American League in runs scored, but trail all but the Twins in home runs. In short, they score a lot by boasting a robust, singles-driven and walks assisted .309 average with runners in scoring position*, but it's unsustainable over the long run. They may continue to score runs at a pace that surpasses most expectations, but I don't see them leading the league in runs for long with so little power.

*And that number will rise after tonight's game.
