First Inning is just a really cool baseball website, made even cooler recently with the addition of team player development pages. On a single elegant page each team's top prospects under-25* are divided into one of three categories: major league ready, near ready, prospects two or more years away. The prospects are organized by broad position categories--middle infielder, reliever, etc.--and each batter is then evaluated on OBP and power, and each pitcher on strikeouts, control, and ground balls. The evaluation bars need some clarification, and it's not obvious what "control" means, but the site's authors say the pages are works in progress. Neat stuff.
* What about the Jack Custs of the world?
